Pics blurry when zoom

Not sure who will see this but in the last few weeks the zoom function on my listing's pictures does not work properly.  Pics get blurry when i view my listing and zoom in.   I still have postings up from a month+ back and the pics look great.  Zoom works great and I can see great detail when zoomed in.  Now, not so much.

I have tried different cameras, settings, browsers, lighting, cleaned lenses, made sure there was no movement when snapping pics.  I'm certain it's an ebay issue.

I sell trading cards and being able to zoom in to see condition details is critical.

Thanks,

@thinmint31

I see what you are describing.

eBay is trying out progressive image loading. Images start out blurry because eBay is only loading the shape of the image by loading every nth pixel. If you wait a bit, you'll see that more layers of pixels are laid down in waves, and when the images do finish loading, they become sharper.

I don't know if this is a test or the final result, but many other sellers are seeing the same thing. The blurriness is only apparent to users with a slower Internet connection (the group this method is supposed to help). Buyers and sellers on a fast connection may see the final result more quickly and not even realize the loading was progressive.

Visitors on slower connections can at least get the sense of the image, and if they wait long enough, will see the sharp image. Previously, slow connections had to simply wait longer to see anything at all.
