On the recently "improved" Order Details page, all of the relevant item data is there - EXCEPT FOR THE EBAY ITEM NUMBER! PLEASE add it back. The data is there, and there's certainly room on the page to include it. I use PDFs of the details page for each item to track my purchases, and the item number is the only unique identifier that I can use to track things. Why was it removed???

Perhaps there are some recent changes that have not reached me yet, but I still see the item number on the order details page. There is a separate line for the item number between the quantity and package carrier.

On the print-friendly version of the page, the item number appears in parentheses at the end of the item title for me.

I print the page with the picture, so the printwr-friendly version doesn't help. Why would it not be on both?

The page I see with the item number has a URL that looks like this:

https://www.ebay.com/vod/FetchOrderDetails?itemid=XXXXXXXXXXXX&transId=YYYYYYYYYYYYY

If the order details page you are currently using looks different, try substituting a valid item number and transaction ID into the URL above and see if you can get the old page to display and print.

Yes, my order detail pages look quite different and include the item number. Do you have a store? Perhaps it has something to do with that. I'm stumped. 🙄

I have the same issue. C/Ping your url, the page redirects to the one lacking the item number.

The page also lacks the "contact seller" buttons which were useful for issues pertaining to individual items on a multi item order. Like all of the other changes made recently this one makes eBay more difficult to use. Hovering your mouse over the item listing title should show the item number at the bottom of your browser, at least with Firefox this works.

Using your link and pasting in a valid item number and transaction ID, I can see the "new" page that lacks the item number. The item number appears in the page URL, though. And if I use the printer friendly version of the page, I see the item number in parentheses after the item title.

If you print a PDF of the page, see if you can include the page URL as a header or footer for the image to include the item number that way.

I also see a "Contact seller" link on the "new" page below the item title. On the "old" page, the "Contact seller" link appears to the right of the item title.

I just checked 23 orders between 7/10 and 8/26 and the "contact seller" link is absent from 14 of them. I don't see a definitive pattern. The item images were broken as well.
