November 2024 eBay updated messaging mess

I have two questions about problems with new updated messaging:

Mobil app messages: After updates the Sent File is gone. It is not exist anymore and I can't find an option to Create New folder. I have reinstalled eBay App few times, nothing help. I still don't have it. 

My second question about problem after updated messaging using ebay on PC:

WHY? There is always opened message using almost half of screen and there is NO way close it. I was hopping that the small "arrow" at the left of top corner will remove it, but nope. It made just worst! After using this "arrow" the list with my folders GONE and the opened message started use 2/3 of the screen. WHY? Who decided that people want to see it? If there is made "arrow" to make NOT NEEDED preview " bigger and wider", why don't do the "arrow" to remove / close preview of NOT NEEDED message? I would like to see regular "List of my folders" and "list of messages" without preview. Why there is NO option for people see what they WANT? Before there was an option change to "Classic view", but it is goon too.

Issue 1: sent folder missing on the app

Physically shake your phone while the app is open. That will open up a screen where you can report the issue.

Issue 2: first message automatically opened and marked as read

This is the way they designed it; it's not a tech error. A lot of people don't like it. Use that link on the lower right "updated messaging feedback" and tell them what you think. That feedback goes direct to the product developers.

Thanks with 1st question. I will do it. It is exactly why I was using "Technical issue" topic.   

About 2nd question: Actually at the beginning I even couldn't believe that the "always opened message" is NOT A Technical issue. I couldn't believe that in 2024 the using messages will be more complicated then 20 years ago and I was hoping to the end, that it is just a "small problem" like in Mobil app.  Later I started thinking that probably I am getting older and more stupid and that I just don't see the option how to close this HUGE preview. 😳😂 Life is enough stressful that we need to get more problem after "Updated messages" of after "Changing location of grocery in the store from one raw to absolutely different in the another side of store ".

it's been a new nightmare every day with something not functioning the way it should...I can't go up and down inside a previous communication with a customer - its like a chat box where you can't see what was said in previous conversation...once yesterday I was able to go upward in a communication, but for the most part I an unable, like it is frozen on the last communication I had, this gets really messed up when you have multiple people asking different questions on one item and you can't keep track of which is which by easily referring to what was written/questioned before.  this is really nuts!!! I don't want to chat with my customers AT ALL. I want them to ask a question and I answer it...I would think most people that sell multiple items use a laptop NOT a mobile phone to list and communicate...and people that are older (which a lot of my buyers are)...ridiculous...I hate, hate, hate it.  Be sure and look in the lower bottom right hand corner and let them know how much you don't like it, maybe they will at least fix it to be usable, presently it is not. I am losing sales because of it.  I am getting best offers that I can't even see and when I accept their offer, they are not following through and paying - I have never had this problem before with best offer, people make an offer, I accept and they pay, they probably can't read the darn thing...

Messaging is a bloody mess.  Anyway to go back to classic form?

Here's what happened in the last two days, if anyone at eBay cares to address serious problems that are losing sales.

* Four messages from seller with pics. No pics show. Only one message in eBay inbox.  That msg was cut off. Not all of the msg shows in email, so am clueless what the seller wrote.

* Can't scroll through a msg to read what was written previously. 

* Messages are deleted without being deleted.

* Messages about discounts don't show or list the discounted item. Don't know what it is.

* If a message is more than 2 or 3 lines, not all of the msg shows.

Really frustrating.  I'm not buying anything that requires a message to find out more. I've had it. Taking business elsewhere.  I sent feedback about these problems. Had no issues with the old format.

I am contacting the state attorney general's office in Pennsylvania and asking for a serious investigation into EBAY.  I have wasted time trying to get an answer from them. They have no clue either hardware or software.  That's what you get when  you have people from the third world writing your code.  I can't sell anything and I just quit buying because I can't contact the seller's about questions.  They are charging everyone a fortune for selling including paypal and they cannot  run a legitimate auction.  it puts everyone at risk.  I suggest everyone contact their state attorney general. Recently, I had to get federal authorities involved including the postal inspector about a scam a seller tried to pull off.  I got a refund but Ebay failed to  remove the seller like the  Feds wanted.   They could care less about any of us and are running a scam against all of us
