I haven't received my saved searchers emails in two months. My buying has dramatically slowed which is what eBay deserves. First, I checked these forums and tried several suggestions. They did not fix the problem. Next I called ebay, telling the representative about the problem and that I was receiving emails when watched items ended or when I made a purchase and needed to pay.
The representative contacted someone else, then called me back and told me to check that my email server was accepting the eBay.com addresses . Of course it was; I had explained that I was already receiving some eBay emails. The entire process was a charade so the representative could mark off my issue as corrected.
Calling was a waste of time; there are plenty of other places on the internet that sell stuff.

I started having the same problem but it was off and on. I might get my emails one day and then nothing for a week.
I found it was best to contact eBay on their Facebook page. They will eventually reply with a PM and you can get them to create a trouble ticket and send to their IP department. Be ready for some runaround just like telephone contact, but if you are persistant they may actually do something!

As far as I know, it is up to eBay to correct their problem, which they try very hard not to admit they have. They will probably first tell you to check your spam folder, then talk to your ISP and finally suggest you just get a new email address, a new email provider and a new eBay account and start all over! I had to tell them that was no solution because if it is happening to so many of us and I go to all that trouble to "fix" their problem, there is nothing to prevent it from happening to me again. Also, I would forfeit many years worth of positive feedbacks which are very valuable to me in conducting business on eBay.
It seems to me that eBay employees both on the phone and on Facebook are instructed to deny, deny, deny there are any problems with eBay. Just look at the Add to List fiasco thousands of members are screaming about. First they denied it was at there end and tried to lay it off on the user's browser. When that didn't fly, they promised on this forum last September they would return the feature but didn't. Then they said it was to "improve the buying experience". When we laughed that down, Lists suddenly returned, only to disappear again a week or so ago.
I have given up contacting eBay about Lists, and started buying elsewhere on sites that do have this or a similar feature.
eBay doesn't seem to care about the lost business that most members say results from both issues. My guess is the employees who see these posts could care less and the big boys are kept in the dark. It also means the IP department has less real work to do so they keep busy coming up with changes to things like the new My Purchases page that is a huge step backwards.

I find I am very disappointed in eBay, which use to care about both the seller and buyer.
It is disheartening for both a seller who go to the trouble of listing items, and who is greatly assisted by these searches in selling their items, a buyer who wants to purchase items through these searches, and then there is eBay itself. They would benefit more if these searches only worked.
How stupid is this entire situation?
I have bought hudreds of books, mostly through these searches, and my list of searches is extensive. For eBay to abandon us, both as buyers and as sellers, is outrageous.
I suppose, like you, I will have to search out other buying options.

Yes, other buying options must be considered because, apparently, eBay has no intention of fixing the problem so many of us now have.
I fail to understand how and why a feature that worked flawlessly for over a decade suddenly quit working and eBay can't simply undo whatever they changed that caused the problem.
I have been back and forth with eBay reps on Facebook for over two months about this issue . They keep saying they will check into it for me and they confirm a trouble ticket exists but so far nothing at all has been done by their tech department. One week ago they assured me they would send me an update but, again, nothing. In fact, tec has even refused to reply to inquiries from the eBay reps on Facebook regarding the status of the ticket, let alone do anything about it!
Seeing no other solution, I changed my eBay email address because they said that might fix the problem. It didn't, so don't bother trying that.

Forget calling. They know nothing and couldn't care less. Try posting a complaint on eBay's Facebook page. They actually monitor that (unlike this forum), and you may get somewhere. I have been back and forth with them for about two months over this on Facebook. So far, only unkept promises to look into the problem. My guess is the more people post complaints, the more likely they will actually do something. Emails on saved searches used to work, so all they need to do is reverse whatever change they made. Because it has such a huge impact on our buying, you would think it would be a higher priority to fix this. Sadly, it isn't.

I used to spend an hour each morning browsing through new items for my business and ebay store in ~50 saved search emails. Beginning earlier this month, that number suddenly dropped to maybe five saved search emails a day.
My business relies on finding deals before others, and those emails were instrumental in doing that on ebay. Now my workaround is to spend 2+ hours opening every saved by hand. Since I don't have that kind of time every day, I'm missing those bargains, and my own store is slowing down as a result.
Obviously, ebay's email system was becoming overloaded. In the last week or two leading up to this, "order confirmed" emails from ebay--which normally would arrive within a couple minutes of the paypal receipt for the same purchase--were increasingly delayed, sometimes by hours. Unfortunately, rather than scale up their email infrastructure, they seem to have decided to cut back on saved search emails. Now those confirmation emails are back on track, but my purchasing & sales aren't.

Aparently eBay is so overloaded with defects they have simply resigned themselves to steadily loosing buyers rather than addressing their technical problems. I bugged eBay about the same problem with telephone calls (a total waste) and posts on the member's forum (another waste) and via Facebook, which got prompt responses with more or less the same canned replies, "Check your spam folder, change ISPs, get a new eBay email, use a different browser, etc." So I did all that and more and nothing made any difference. And they refused to post a single reply to why I had no problem getting confirmations of purchases almost immediately when I bought items as well as feedback reminders and sales hype. So I just kept bugging them for several months and one fine day, after a month of ignoring my Facebook rants completely, I started getting emails about saved searches again. However, I now get over a hundred a day including dozens of searches I deleted long ago. So now it takes me about as long to slog through all the items I no longer need just to find the ones I do as it did to use the work around. Be careful what you wish for.

I have the exact same problem with the exact same lack of help from the eBay reps. After 3 moths of back and forth, my notification emails returned, except I was now getting notices of items listed I had long sense deleted from my saved searches!
When I complained last week about having to slog through dozens of unwanted notifications, they all stopped comming again.
Be careful what you wish for.
