For the third time in a row, a buyer has sent a message asking why I haven't sent an item them purchased. In all three cases I never received an email notifying me of the sale and there is no Sale notice in my Messages.
As a small dealer I don't expect sales every day and I don't check my Account regularly, relying instead on the eBay system to let me know when I have a sale. Not getting those sale messages is means I am not maintaining the level of service that I strive for - shipping in 2 days or less - and is very frustrating.
Has eBay stopped sending Sale notices? If so, how am I supposed to know when I have sold something?

Hey @marynoel. E-mail is an unreliable way to keep track of sales. There could be any number of issues with the myriad of servers a message has to go through, SPAM filters and more.
If you have active listings for sale you need to log in to eBay to check your orders. If you can't do that every day then it's wise to use an extended handling time and check at least a couple times a week.
In all honesty, because any buyer can file a return or a claim (for up to 180 days if they paid with PayPal) which has a short window for sellers to respond, you should be logging in every other day at minimum to make sure nothing falls through the cracks.
That said, check your e-mail SPAM folder, check the e-mail address on your account has no typos and check your communication preferences here: https://commspreferences.ebay.com/commsprefs

Thank you for your response. My first thought was to check both my Spam folder and my Trash file in case I had accidentally deleted the messages. Neither notification was there.
I have been selling on eBay for almost 20 years and this is these are the first instances where I did not receive notifications of sales, either by email or in my eBay Messages. As I indicated, I'm a small dealer and don't expect a sale every day. Last year I averaged 3-4 per month.
If this is a new eBay policy, I'd like to know when they announced it because I didn't get that message either. If this is the new norm, it really feels like my business doesn't even count enough to keep me informed.
If this is not a new policy, someone needs to know that the system is messing up.

Did you check your communication preferences page linked above?

Yes, everything seems to be in order. I'm set to received notifications about everything. 🙂

I had the same issue today - first time in years. No notification an item sold.

You should be checking the Seller Hub or the Ebay Mobile App for orders.
