Non Paying Buyer

What happened to the Non Paying Buyer and the Resolution Center?  I just realized an item had gone way past the time it should have been considered a Non Paying Buyer. When I looked for the Resolution Center it is nowhere to be found. The only way to handle it is to cancel the item and relist it. I suppose I could email the buyer but I can see that Ebay is trying to make the sellers look like the bad guys. It is also good ground to start a fight with a buyer. As far as I'm concerned there is no excuse for not paying even it a buyer thinks the shipping is too high. All that info is right in front of them on the item page. I think it is extremely petty of Ebay to lay everything off on the sellers. The automated system worked just fine.  If Ebay wants to lay all of this on the sellers then they need to get out of our businesses completely. We're big boys and girls and the majority of us can run a business just fine without Ebay's interference.

Non Paying Buyer

eBay has instituted an automated non paying bidder system. If the buyer doesn't pay after 4 days, eBay automatically cancels the transaction and gives the buyer a NPB strike. During that time, eBay sends reminders to the buyer. After that time you're allowed to relist the item and will not be charged any fees. Don't cancel before that time is up.

Non Paying Buyer

@debvor    You might find this info announced in the Spring seller update helpful.  It explains the new process for unpaid items.  The former Resolution Center has been done away with.

Non Paying Buyer

I could really care less where and when it was announced. The old system worked just fine but it laid everything on Ebay's shoulders. With the new system it's the seller that looks like the bad guy if we email the buyer and ask for payment or just cancel the transaction. The old system was neat and clean and over in a week. How long are we supposed to let a buyer take to pay? It's real simple with me if you don't pay you NEVER buy anything else from me. I'm sure Ebay will change that soon enough after all they don't care about tick off their customer, the seller, but will bend over backwards to stroke the buyers.

the old system had twice as many steps.I never ask to be paid anymore

its now a 1 step process

non paying claims are not opened anymore............they are just canceled

basically it just means that you cant have an open UPI anymore and thats a good thing

Non Paying Buyer

I agree, the new system is so much easier for sellers.

It can all be automated and at the end eBay will even relist the item if you want.

Non-paying gets a strike, seller gets fees back, less time waiting, and the will relist.

So much easier.
