When leaving feedback for buyers, I use to be able to click on the auto-saved feedbacks on the drop-down, but with this new feedback system, it didn't take. Explanation: I type in E, then the drop down says 'Excellent Buyer...' so I click on that, and it fills in the feedback box, but the actual feedback left is only the E that I originally typed in! So frustrating! Sooooo I decided to leave a follow-up feedback and it says it was left, but IS NOT. I had to email 9 of my buyers explaining if I knew I was giving them only a letter for feedback, it would have been an A, not an E. Now I have to type in the complete sentence over and over for fear that the drop-down comments won't work. Anyone else experiencing this? TY

I've seen this too, I don't get why they changed it. It's almost the same except they shifted most of the page to the right and youhave to click in a blacnk space in order for your comment (I copy/paste) to "take."
I don't see why they changed it (the FB page.) it's not any quicker????

I typed G for my first letter so (Great Transaction! Highly recommended! Thank You!) would come up on the drop down menu. 12 of my buyer customers G for a feedback. So you're not the only one. I'm glad I noticed it before I kept going with it.

Same problem. Although the feedback box shows your full response, only the first letter is shown in the actual feedback the buyer receives. Yesterday tried to fix the error by using the feedback forum to leave follow up feedback and the same thing happened. My buyers only received the first letter "E". Today I am going to try again in the feedback forum and individually type in new feedback for each buyer. I don't know if I will have any better results and possibly this will not work at all as the Feedback Forum says you can only leave one follow up feedback per item. It's very embarassing to have this type of feedback posted to a buyer. If anyone finds a solution, please share the fix.

If you leave feed back from Seller Hub page: Orders, paid and shipped
clicking on leave feedback will let you choose which of your stored comments to use....
I never could find that option anywhere else after they changed the page.......

Yes, it is a big pain. Use the comment button on the page to tell ebay. If all programmers and managers had to use ebay as we do, then wouldn't make such stupid changes.

Thank you for the suggestion to leave follow up feedback. I agree that this is very embarassing. I was unaware of the issue until today, so I had to update 10 pages of feedback. I don't know if my buyers will ever read my new feedback, especially those from older transactions.

As you say, from the seller hub you have a drop down menu that you can edit & add to as you want, Thanks!
I had a list of feedback comments and with the new page I was copping & pasting my comments- what a pain!
I find this to be another case of ebay trying to fix something that wasn't broken in the first place. Their fix broke it, right?

Auto-complete of my prior feedback comments is finally working again. After dozens of scathing reviews of the underwhelming rebuild of the 'Leave Feedback for all' page, we've apparently been heard.
I guess we should be happy that it only took four months for them to restore simple functionality that some idiots at ebay disabled when they rebuilt a page that had been working perfectly well for the last 15 years.
Thanks ebay!

I had the same issue - I left a few hundred feedbacks where there was only one letter. Ugh, I just had to add an additional comment to hundreds of buyers!! It's so embarrassing.

Some feedback I received was just a simple letter and it really threw me for a loop. Huh? Now, seeing these other posts, I see how and what is happening.
I do not like it! I'm tired of computers, websites, cell phone texting etc. trying to communicate for ME, the human! Let me write what I want & not let some program think for me! Ugh eBay-stop this assumption business! Humans are not yet obsolete.

EVERYTHING eBay does to "improve" makes things worse. Prove me wrong.

What does X mean as for as feedback? it was positive, but says X

Probably just a typo on the part of the buyer.
A lot of folks use shortcuts, or prepared text stored in drop-downs to fill in the feedback form, sometimes only typing the first letter and selecting from a list. It's easy to miss the line in the drop-down, and then the single letter gets inserted as the only text and submitted before the mistake is noticed.
I believe not too long ago either eBay made a change to the form, or some browsers changed how they handled stored text, and there was a sudden rash of one letter feedback until folks got used to it.
Probably the buyer meant to type "xcellent" or "xtra fast shipping" or something.
At least the letter wasn't an "F".
