NO heathly upstream

I have been getting, out of the blue, this message for 2 weeks now when I try to share my listings to social media. I have called, fb message, still not fixed. Anyone else?

Hey @nilis13. The best way to deal with the "no healthy upstream" error is generally to clear your cache and restart your browser. Come back and let us know if that fixes it.

I have tried it all..nothing is working. Other sellers had posted this same issue that just started to happen to them also, but that topic was shut down today because of age. I started this new post today.

Btw, ebay knows there's an issue but still not fixed. I don't think it's affecting everyone.

I've seen the issue before, but maybe once a year at most. If you google "no healthy upstream" you'll understand the issue better and why clearing cache is generally the recommended fix. eBay is one of the platforms plagued by the issue. It's typically infrequent and not persistent which is why you see posts pop up from time to time, but quickly fall off.

This seems to be a server issue and not a local cache issue. I noticed something… if I create a new listing and use the website to share an item to social media, I get the error. If I wait a while (i.e. if I list at night and then wait until the following day), I don’t get the error. If I try to share immediately after listing, I get the error.

The eBay app is not affected.

I have reached out to eBay for Business on FaceBook a few times already and this is a known issue. I also tweeted the issue and another user mentioned @askebay and my post. The only thing we can do is to continuously report the issue so there is a record of it.

A bunch of users are reporting this issue. If it was a local cache issue, would it affect several users?  Unless eBay changed something major on their backend (load balancers, servers hosting the webpage, etc.), this seems to be a server-side issue.

The only two posts I can find online if I google "no healthy upstream" refer to server-side issues that are causing this (DNS and an application crash).

I found that if I try to share from the end popup that says your item is now listed, I get the "no healthy stream" error but if I click on the listing and the listing up, the SHARE button in the upper right hand brings up all the sharing options and they work.  Clearing the cache did nothing for me.  Two extra steps but still annoying.

Ohhh. I’ll try that, thanks!

Sure enough, as mentioned above, if you create a listing and try to use the social media links on the confirmation page, you get the "No healthy upstream" error. If you go to your Active Items and click on the newly listed item, you have the Share link on the upper right hand side of the screen. If you click on the Share link it opens a new window with social media links. Any of those links work normally.
