NEW EBAY PAYMENT RECEIPT PROGRAM

Does anyone know if this new 'Easy Way to Receive Payment' program that ebay is starting is mandatory??  It hasn't even started yet and I've spent over 40 minutes trying to VERIFY....first my name, then my account information, now it's the bank itself!!!  This is AFTER I did this whole thing and it's telling me now that the information is still not correct.   IT'S THE SAME BANK THEY'VE BEEN TAKING MY MONTHLY FEES BACK FOR 12 YEARS!!!   I have to get out of this new program...it not only sounds like my overall fees will be increased but if I'm having problems even before it starts....I just know it's going to be a real nightmare when it does start.

NEW EBAY PAYMENT RECEIPT PROGRAM

I would reach out to eBay on the bank information thing you should be able to request a call back as for the fees in july when they implement the new fee structure your fees will be less then using paypal. There are some pretty nice benefits especially if top rated because both the transaction fee and the eBay fee is now built into one fee +.30 per no only do the catagory fees work out to be less then what eBay fees + paypal fees are now you will get the 10% discount from top rated plus. Then on returns/cancelled orders/refunds you arent eating the 2.9% +.30 that paypal recently changed to. You will only not receive the .30 back like paypal use to be. I honestly was hesistant but the more I read the more I am excited for the new eBay managed payments everything all in one place etc.. Book Keeping becomes easier as well.

And yes it will eventually become mandatory for everyone you will eventually get notice that you can no longer post new items until you register.

NEW EBAY PAYMENT RECEIPT PROGRAM

They forced me into the program in the early fall of last year. I hate it and especially the fact that I used to collect my funds into my Paypal account immediately. Now eBay holds the money for days--occasionally even weeks-- before releasing it. When they release the funds it takes a few days more before it shows up in my bank account.

Yes... it's mandatory if you sell.

I opted into Managed Payments last Fall, and understand the sign-up process was a lot easier then than it is today. Hang in there!

NEW EBAY PAYMENT RECEIPT PROGRAM

You're correct that funds take a few days before it hits your bank account after they are paid out,  but you are incorrect about eBay holding the money for days.  The money is available for transfer next day (unless your under probation).  May seem like 2 if sales occur after cut off time (PST). You set the frequency.  The default  is daily.  We changed to weekly.  BTW, eBay has not forced anyone, until this point, into the program. All participants in the program, have elected to do so voluntarily.

NEW EBAY PAYMENT RECEIPT PROGRAM

Everything up to this point has been voluntary so if your already in the program you agreed to be in it. I Have not read any issues with eBay holding peoples money for weeks either. I am actually pretty excited for it to be honest I dont need money withdrawn everyday and the savings is significant over time. Not to mention the savings alone from cancelled orders paypal is getting free money right now for every order that is cancelled since they no longer refund fees. So less fees overall no longer just giving money away because a buyer decides they want to cancel an order sounds pretty good to me even if I do have to wait a few days for money into my account.
