Mobile Beta messaging load issue

Am using the new messaging beta but getting a blank page when loading messages from side bar. Worked a few days ago.

Have just tried notifying a seller after purchase, takes me to a direct messaging view with seller but also won't load.

Attempting via mobile browser means the app automatically loads instead from most clicks, effectively shutting me out unless I uninstall the app.

Tell me how to switch back from beta mode at least...

Attempting via mobile browser means the app automatically loads

 

You can disable that without uninstalling the eBay app. Go to your device Settings: Apps: eBay: Open by Default: Open Supported Links and select "Don't open in the app". Then eBay links in a browser should open in the browser rather than the eBay app.

 

If you are using a mobile browser and having problems reading messages in mobile or classic mode, try requesting the desktop site version of the page with your mobile browser. Or try another browser.

If you are already using a desktop browser, try a different link such as this link to messages from members:

 

https://mesg.ebay.com/mesgweb/ViewMessages/0/m2m

 

If all else fails, try reading your messages on ebay.ca instead of ebay.com.

 

If you have your messages sent to your email address, you may be able to read and respond via email directly to generate an eBay message.

 

You should be able to go to a user's feedback or profile page and compose a new message there using the "Contact" link if you are unable to respond to a message. If prompted for an item number, try selecting "not about an item" if the item number is old or you get an error message.
