This has been going on for at least a week and is not resolved. I went through about 30 of my listings and 10 of them don't have photos. I have close to 600 listings to go through. Is this going to be fixed or not?
Here's what I know.
1. Thumbnail shows up in search listings.
2. No photos in the listing at all.
3. The place where the photos are supposed to be says: "The seller has not uploaded any pictures."
4. If you revise your item, then only the primary photo comes back and the other photos are lost.
5. Ebay has not addressed this matter on their status board as a problem.
6. So far, I haven't seen a time line of when or even IF it will be fixed.
7. Ebay knows: When I called eBay, they said they added me in as one of the people affected.
8. There are no work arounds unless you are okay with having just your 1 primary photo.
9. It seems that it won't continue to happen, BUT listings already affected are not able to be fixed.
10. No compensation from eBay for the many hours it will be to retake photos and search listings.
Give us something here eBay! This is a disaster for many of your Sellers. We need some compensation. A month with no fees, or a free month for our store fees..... Something. And change that wording: "The seller has not uploaded any pictures." It should say, eBay is having technical difficulties. Your current phrase makes us look bad. We lose customers because of that. It's not our fault this happened and eBay should take the blame for this, not us.

Kathy is the best!! Thanks for the helpful tip. It worked on some of my listings. So thankful to you!!! I got my photos back on *most* of my listings which is way better than none. LOL. Some of my listings didn't turn up in the search at all using my eBay Item Number. So strange. I'd say about 65% to 75% of my listings did though. Hey, I'll take it. Downloaded all the photos and I am about to get them back into my listings.
You really saved us (the Sellers that read this) a huge amount of time. You're my favorite person right now dreamalittledream!!

I was missing photos on about 120 listings. I ended up retaking photos and revising most of my listings. It was a pain, but hopefully the glitch won't happen again:)

Same thing has happened to me. A buyer brought this to my attention when she wanted to buy a sweater, but there was only one picture. Now another buyer has paid for a pair of boots, but has only seen one picture. The problem is I offer one day shipping, but I don't feel right selling these boots when the buyer has only seen one picture. So now I'm waiting for the buyer to respond to a message I sent to them to see if they still want the boots but in the meantime eBay sent me a message that the shipping is "Overdue". Thanks for all the mess eBay!

I tried Kathy Terrill's 'fix' for the Ebay "glitch monster", but it didn't work for the missing photos. It did however help my listings come back faster after turning off vacation mode. After reopening my store I only had 49 of my 1370 listings available. After her 'fix' I had 1347 with the others coming back soon after.

Did you try the part that is further into the video about using the Cache feature in your internet-browser searching for your eBay item number? If not, try that. That is what I did to download a bunch of my listings photos that I thought I was going to have to retake. I still do on some, but at least not on all of them.

45 of my listings are affected. I spoke to two different eBay cust serv reps about 3 weeks ago. Neither knew about the problem and had to research it. Then they said they'd addded me to the list of affected users. Both added me? Why wasn't I on it after the first call? Told me I'd get a reimbursement of listing fees on my next bill. And said the problem should be fixed and photos returned by 7/13. That's come and gone, no photos. Now we'll see in a couple days if there's any return of fees for June's bill. Not holding my breath for that, either.

Thank you for letting me know about the help later in the video. I didn't get that far before I quit watching. I'll have to check it out again. I had already fixed many of my listings when I watched the video, but you never know if it's going to happen again!

I recently learned that I am having this problem-- only because a customer alerted me to the fact. Out of approximately 1300 listings, I have no idea how many are affected. My sales have crashed through the floor in the last few weeks, and I was going crazy trying to figure out why. It seems so unfair that there should be no recompense for this

Just spoke with ebay CS I was told the photos that people are missing are corrupt and can't be restored. So we now have to replace photos in 94 listings. final straw for us, we can't run a busniess like this. unreal

Just got off the phone with eBay due to this notification:
We made a technical error during a recent update that caused many sellers to lose images associated with their Good Til Cancelled listings. We cannot, unfortunately, retrieve many of the lost images. If re-uploading images is feasible for you, we encourage you to do so.
We know this has been extremely frustrating.
Sellers make up the backbone of eBay, and we’re committed to helping your business grow. To set you up for future success, we’re crediting you back for insertion fees on the impacted listings and providing you with 200 zero insertion fees to use until July 28, 2018.
Their solution:
It was a great pleasure talking to you on the phone earlier. Per our conversation here is the report that shows your listings with only 1 photo. Any listing with only 1 photo might have been affected by the bug that took away the pictures. The list attached is for your account. I did also run the report for your other account and I am happy to let you know that according to that report all of your listings have at least 2 or more pictures. It looks like none of the listings in that account were affected. If there is anything else we can do for you, please feel free to give us a call or you can respond to this e-mail.
For my ~800 or so listing on the spreadsheet I have to go and add the missing photos back in. That is a lot of man hours and work for their incompetence.
There 200 free listings of any type save me 5 cent x 200 or 10 dollars. No where the necessary compensation for the time, labor, impacting my business, and frustration.
Of course it happens in the worst selling season on eBay.
As you can see I am very displeased and with their recent changes to Top Rated seller plus it adds to the frustration for my main and only selling platform.

I have over 200 listings destroyed by eBay. They hold sellers to nearly impossible standards, but hold themselves to NONE. They constantly ruin things by making "improvements" that make selling worse all the time. Then when the flat out break something, they drag their feet, give multiple random ansers and clearly just want sellers to fix what eBay broke. They will still hold SELLERS RESPONSIBLE when a buyer returns one of our items with one photo because it was "not as described". eBay makes it very clear in their listing requirements that the photos are the most important part of the listing. The most important part of more than 200 of my listings are gone and eBay's basic response is f-you, you fix it. On top of that they are literally telling our buyers that the seller did not upload photos. WORSE THAN TAKING ZERO RESPONSIBILITY IS BLAMING THE SELLERS FOR EBAY'S DOING!
My 200 destroyed listings means two weeks of extra work fo me. I don't have two extra weeks in my calendar since I acquire product two days of the week and list on three. This is well over $12000 of inventory that is sitting, broken, with a lack of the most important information.
eBay is beyond ridiculous and makes it clear daily that they do not care about sellers.
