I'm having an issue of listing appearing after submitting. I just got done listing 30 or so items and they are not showing up in my listings or in search. Further, I went to revise a listing I had just listed and I was unable to edit with a "we are having a problem updating the listing" error. Hopefully this gets fixed ASAP and I didnt just lose hours of work.

It appears it affected all listings submitted between 10:03 and 10:42 PST on 8/12

It's 2:13 am CST Time here where I'm located & I just got done or thought I got done listing 8 new items & none of them are in my listing pages thru seller hub. If I go to my feedback section & click items for sale & click & pick newly listed from the drop down it shows them. But not in the list view on seller hub when you click active listing. They should have all been on my last page & none of them are there, where I can track them, or edit custom label for storage location or easily see price to adjust if I want to, not to mention won't be able to see the views or watchers.

I’m having the same trouble with 7 items I listed last night. It looks like they were listed during those exact times listed.
Is there any update on these missing listings? Has anyone heard anything from eBay?

Has this issue been reported yet? If not, will you please get it reported? Thanks in advance 🙂

I had the same problem last night. I had done about 8 listings before I noticed they weren't showing up.
Not sure If I should resubmit or wait to see if they show up later.

Hi @mcdougle4248 - there's nothing officially opened on this report. Thursday evenings are the overall site maintenance window, which means things can sometimes get a little cattywompus.
If these were new listings (relists, sell similars, from scratch, etc) then it's more than likely an indexing delay. My tech team will not get involved unless we're past 24 hours and they are still not visible.
In the event these are not searchable 24 hours after they were submitted please contact CS so they can review and file a ticket!

I've encountered this issue in the past and- same as you- it was a result of Thursday night site maintenance. Whenever this happens to me I wait a day then revise the listings. The good news is that whenever I went to revise the listings after a day, it forced a re-indexing which corrected the issue. Hopefully the same works for you.

Hi tyler@ebay
Thank you for your quick response.
The issue is not affecting my account, another seller asked me about it. They posted several listings last night, even had overnight sales from the same new listings, however, the listings never showed up anywhere on their Active listing pages.
I am sure it will all work out eventually. Have a great weekend!

@mcdougle4248- Another tip-
Since these listings don't appear on the Active listings page- I remember in the past I had to locate the item numbers through a backwards method then go directly to the item pages to hit revise. On the seller hub Overview page it shows you the number of listing insertions used/left. The Used number is a hyperlink. Click on that and it shows you a list of all item numbers which can be downloaded into an Excel file. From there you can locate the item numbers and with that info you can go directly to the listing page ( ebay.com/ITM/itemnumberhere ) and click revise at the top of the page.
Hopefully the listings appear on their own for your friend- but whenever this happened to me that was never the case. I had to locate the listings then do a revision to force the re-indexing and get them to appear on my Active listings page.
I've since learned my lesson to either-
- not list on Thursday nights or
- keep a list of item numbers as I set listings live on Thursday night so I can easily handle the forced re-indexing if I end up in that situation again
So far I've gone through this 4 times. The first 2 were a pain- then I wised up and started keeping the list. The second 2 times it happened it was a breeze to fix.

Thank you! I tried using my own account to test the hyperlink suggestion. I am not very savvy, and I think I did something wrong. The download ended up going to Notepad with nothing useful. Any idea what I did wrong?

Ugh- the dreaded "it's a hidden counter" error- that's not something you did wrong @mcdougle4248. That issue has been popping up on and off for the past year.
I first reported it here-
Someone else reported it here-

I know there have been other reports. It's an error that pops up from time to time. You'll need to report that to CS. 😞
I checked two different accounts just now and it's showing the item numbers- so your friend affected by the non-indexed listings might be able to find what they need still.

Did the listings populate on your Active listings in Seller Hub after 24 hours? Curious to know how this turned out for you guys.
In the past I always had to force a re-index to get them to appear- waiting 1, 2 or even 3 days didn't work for me. I'd love to hear that you guys had a different result.
