I've been trying to contact two sellers since yesterday via the internal messaging system.
I normally check the box for "send message to my email address" and although the system tells me messages are being sent nothing appears in my Sent folder nor do they arrive at my email address.
I assume this is an Ebay problem, is there anyone I can contact to get it looked at please?

Please call eBay to report this. I called them earlier today as it's been about 4 days since I received any e-mails from eBay that weren't about sourcing recommendations. I'm not receiving e-mails for anything else related to selling or buying including- sale confirmations, payment confirmations, purchase confirmations, offer confirmations, buyer questions, managed payment payout confirmations, return cases opened or closed, messages from customer service, surveys, etc.
The CS rep told me there was no open help ticket and I'm the only one who reported the problem. This will remain a low priority unless other sellers call to report the problem.
@Anonymous- please take note of this so you can help to add other users to the ticket the CS rep opened for me if you see other reports. Thanks!

Hi @colin1951uk, thanks for sharing your report. Can you tell me the username of the seller's you were trying to contact, the related item numbers, the browser you are using, and any error message you are seeing? I can pass this on to our tech teams for you with a little more detail, no problem!

The sellers were: aqeegurj_0 and apple31000.
Item numbers: 352905194010 and 312881966355 respectively.
Browsers used were Waterfox, Firefox and Chrome, all latest releases and all no go.
I gave up on the items yesterday and have bought something on Amazon to get me by, but the problem does need looking into so I'll leave it with you.
