There is an issue when you have a return and choose to upload your own shipping label using the iOS app. After you upload the shipping label, eBay’s app will “automatically” scan the label and it chooses what it thinks is the tracking number. It has always chosen the wrong number on the label, for me it has done that multiple times.
When you highlight the wrong number and paste in the correct number, it shows the number you pasted in the text box but clicking on the button to save the change does not change the number. It still has the number that the app originally scanned in automatically. This has happened twice now for two returns, which makes the package never seem like it shipped out, and when I call CS to switch the number, for some reason they don’t have the ability to.
I believe it has to do with the highlighting and pasting of the new number but I have not had the chance to test it by deleting the original number completely and then manually typing in the new number.
Either way, I should be able to highlight the old number and paste in the new number and when I hit submit, it shouldn’t switch it to the old number.
