I’m dreading to make that call to eBay. More often, the agents are poorly trained, read from scripts, etc… Generally, they can’t problem solve. I'm hoping someone can add some input.
Anyhow, in one of our stores, we generally charge a flat rate shipping of $8.90 for USPS Priority Mail. We did a listing that we changed from flat rate to calculated. The weight of the item is 1 lb 3 oz with a box dimension is 17" x 8" x 5".
eBay is stating the shipping cost at $16.25 to be shipped to the same zip as the ship address.
On the USPS site, calculated shipping is $8.25 with the same details.
We reviewed the setting and listing multiple times and don’t see any issues.
Thank you in advance.

USPS charges a dimensional weight for Priority Mail, Parcel Select Ground, and Retail Ground if the package volume is over 1 cubic foot (i.e., 1728 cubic inches). This can happen even if just one dimension is over 12 inches.
