Is eBay partially down? I can't list.

I have tried every way to list or relist items and they all fail. I later saw eBay was down partially for maintenance.  Are their IT guys and gals serious? No company this large goes down at 11 PM affecting their customers. I was an IT Mgr for 33 years at one of the world's largest companies, and we always had redundant upon redundant systems. What a way to do business. Couldn't eBay figure out a way to increase seller fees without dropping their systems? Just kidding.  What a joke of an IT Dept when after 23 years of selling here I thought they were possibly making positive strides to keep up with the other selling platforms out there. Stepping off the venting podium. Next!

Weekly Thursday night site maintenance generally doesn't start for another hour, but maybe they began early. Times do say approximate. https://www.ebay.com/sts

It is frustrating because Thursday nights I usually want to put up new listings so they're ready for weekend shoppers, but often I can't because everything on the site goes buggy.

eBay maintenance has been every Thursday evening Pacific Time for more than 20 years. in the early years the entire site shut down for 2 hours every Thursday.

I'll give you that the site is glitchy at the best of times, Thursday evening can be variable with most clearing fairly quickly.

FYI - It might be 11:00pm where you are but for more than half of eBay's users it's some other time.

Yep, and there was a big chunk of 2022 where they did this two nights a week - Tuesday and Thursday.

Glad to see this thread I've been scratching my head as to why I was suddenly having issues.  Restarted everything got a few posts up and then the "Looks like something's wrong. Please try again." issue back again.  Sounds like it is time to take a little break and try again.  It is only a little after 10 pm here and I like to post and work until at least midnight.

Does anyone know how long the maintenance normally takes??  Will it just be a few hours or all night long?

Depends on what they do. They started early so maybe will take longer. 2 hours is what they normally say on Thursday but it normally doesn't take that long.

Friday morning, I cannot list, relist, etc..it's still down!!!
