Ghost Listings

Why are there so many ghost listings? They've got me selling stuff I sold out of a long time ago and for some current sales as well. What can you do about this. I bet - nothing.

I got a neutral for one of these. They need to fix it as soon as possible.

It's been going on for years, so don't expect them to fix it any time soon.

I agree.

I've been on eBay with one ID or another since 1998, and these ghost listings have been happening all that time.

My system is, from time to time, to put all my Active Listings into alphabetical order and review them , looking for current duplications and hoping to spot previously sold items.

I usually find a dozen duplications per thousand listings.

Previously sold are harder- and my guess is that they are missed duplications from months or years earlier.

Why they appear at all is anyone's guess.
