Getting "Enter A Verification Code to Continue" repeatedly

I keep getting this prompt at random times while using eBay. This forces me to answer a security question and then enter a code sent to phone/email. I have not cleared cookies or used a new browser, and I haven't even logged out. Not sure how it improves security. Wouldn't it make a lot more sense to do two factor auth just once at the time I log in?

I don't expect eBay to fix anything. Just posting out there for other poor souls affected by the same hurdle.

Are you using a VPN or an unfamiliar network?

eBay may have reason to suspect that someone unauthorized has gained access to your account, and may be attempting to verify it is actually you.
