Just got off phone with ebay. Due to a recent mass elimination of subcategories your listings will be reassigned a category by the system that may or may not charge you for Gallery Plus Fees. This erroneous charge may or may not be credited to you. Some items in exactly the same reassigned sub category were charged some were not when they renewed. Behind the scenes showed a different category number but on the front end they were the same. Therefore changing the subcategories before relisting will not work. Even if you change the category it still may or may not charge you. Therefore, I was given the only option to go in and mass update and take off the Gallery plus option on all my listings. WAIT, there is no mass update option for this. So I can go into all 3000 listings one at a time and remove the gallery plus option that WAS FREE TO ME or be charged $1 e listing that the program chooses to charge me for. Praying that Ebay issues me a credit. (Never Happened in 15 years) Only true fix is to get rid of Gallery Plus Option from all listings. Just another Ebay F#ck up. Ebay continues to amaze me that with the worst customer service you still remain in business. Like the cable company you use the no option reliance until suddenly there will be numerous options and the bad taste you left in your customers mouths can not be changed.

I'm having the same issue. I have 4,000+ listings that have all been lumped into the same category. There are close to 10 millions postcards on ebay and all of them have been changed to be under topographical.

I also can't ship anything using Ebay Standard Shipping as well.

You can edit 2,000 at a time using the bulk editor > edit > listing upgrades > Gallery Plus drop-down "remove all" -- I've got 40K listings and though I'm told they're working on a fix, I'm going to keep a day ahead of re-listings in removals of Gallery Plus until I see credits on the ones already charged -- can't afford to fight/negotiate a $40,000 eBay bill!

I did this thru bulk editor - and lo and behold!!! It made me update numerous item specifics which of course were there the entire time..

I told the rep of all the times I have proven that the error was on their side and was told they would submit request for refund only to have to call back and be told management said no. i told her same thing I can't afford to play the game of maybe they wont charge me for their mistake. They always do. I started to look at the new categories and what a cluster. When you change to the new category it then wants you to enter in all the descriptives again because it wipes them out. No mass update for this.

Hi @chinafindermichael! This was determined to be a technical issue impacting a small number of listings, and has now been fixed. We will be crediting impacted Sellers as quickly as possible - no calls to Customer Service are needed, as this will be done automatically.

It's now October 18th, I started a ticket days ago and I'm still being charged the $1 Gallery Plus fee on all my relistings. Velvet is a liar, the technical issue has NOT been fixed.

This technical issue did not impact a small number of listings. It impacted a large number of listings. A few sellers have had more than 2,000 or 3,000 listings with the erroneous charge. I was lucky and only had 9.

October 19 I was just charged $1.00 fee for automatic renewal of GTC listings in collectables / pottery & glass problem has not been fixed. Happened to me on oct 12 and again today oct 19 is it a bug that only occurs on tuesdays I was good on all the other days

I called eBay about this yesterday...I had 7 listings total in "Pottery & Glass" affected.

I now see a credit that was sent the day before for $6. Then yesterday the fee was charged again on one listing. We'll see if the additional one gets credited back. Told the "listing specialist" I spoke with my trust is gone and ranted about lack of transparency. Towards the end of the conversation he admitted it's a known glitch and has affected others. Sure wish the podcast would address this...Griff??????

I took Gallery Plus off all my listings with bulk edit; audi_july, did you figure out how to do that?

I'm going to slowly add GP back on a few listings (in categories where there's not a stated fee) and see what happens.

I am a small seller but just noticed a $1 fee on one of my listings in men's clothing for the GP fee. I never selected that. Checking my other listings and hope to use the bulk edit tool. Seems as if every time I go in to edit a listing, something goes missing or changes. Especially shipping cost. It will automatically switch to FREE SHIPPING. I normally charge shipping separately. Have to have a very keen eye and watch like a hawk with Ebay. It's a shame. For the past few months, when I put in a request for a call back, they send an email saying they could not reach me and to check my phone number. My number is listed correctly in my account. Feels like a tactic to avoid having to speak to me.
