I'm very frustrated. Have any other sellers of clothing had a delay in new listings showing up on your ebay store? This has been happening to me this week. After 2 calls to ebay, I was told it is because of indexing of products. They said it can be a 24-48 hour delay. Is this happening to anyone else. It is causing delays in my processing and putting away inventory. I can't tell if the items are listed or not. They are not live on my listings. Help?

It can take up to 24 hours for any listing to index. Sometimes my listings go through immediately, and other times they take a while to appear in search. This is normal for eBay.
What does "not live on my listings" mean? If you mean not showing in search, then see my response above. If you mean they're not showing on your seller hub active listings page right away, that's a different matter. They should show up right away on your active listing page.

With all the new sellers from Sri Lanka dropshipping all their Chinese junk, they probably pushed us to the end of the line.

There is no reason for this garbage, I just got an indexing delay on an item yet they send an email that "your listing is now active/live" **bleep**... This screws with release dates and item exposure and trying to sell an item fast. Exposure is now delayed yet greedy Ebay offers and pushes promoting down your throat for more money to get it exposed more. Usually it's instant indexing now its 24 hour processing ? Nice work Ebay more ways to interfere with sellers costing people time and money.

the 24 hr indexing was actually always a thing, but they would list/be visible really right away, now not so much, ebay told me it's 24 hrs now for most listings even though it never use to take so long... obviously has to do with changes they have made but to what exactly who knows.

Oh course it places you well down the new listing list due to such and your item may not be seen for such as newly listed....

so if you are checking your listings after you list, do it logged out and in incognito window...if you do it when logged in you'll always see your listings. I check both ways, and can find my listings 5-10 min after listing. That doesn't specifically mean all can or will, ebay is notorious for showing some listings to some and not others.

As far back i can remember (10 years selling, 15 years buying), this has appeared in the eBay User Agreement, Section 6, Listing Conditions:
“Your listing may not be immediately searchable by keyword or category for several hours (or up to 24 hours in some circumstances). eBay can't guarantee exact listing duration,..”

Were as this is known:
it usually did not take so long as it can these days.
I suspect it the item specifics stuff that may be boging down the system. but I do not really know. Other that it is happening. Ans it does seem to interfere with sales.

Based to my search and listing testings, if a listing is not promoted, it appears with a delay.
It's active but doesn't show up on search for some hours.
Priority goes to the promoted listings.
Pay to play...

I wait at least a day or two to promote my listings and they pop up fine saying they're new usually within minutes. So that's not necessarily true.

Probably a propagation thing. Might show up on the server you're looking at, but someone on the other side of the US or world haven't gotten the new changes yet so the listing or updates to the listing possibly haven't been received yet.

Well....I know for certain it often takes two or three days for a listing to get ciculation. Rarely does a new listing for me come up in search or start getting views immediately (unless a bot sees it). I have a listing right now almost two days old and still not coming up in search..
