Free Form Text Boxes Removing/Deleting Text

There is a very annoying bug that I have noticed since the new (not at all improved) selling screen was rolled out. 

The issue:

Nearly any time I attempt to replace text in a free form text box (desktop on a browser) the text is either reverted back to what was there (using create similar listing or sell one like this) or completely deleted after entering the text. This means I am entering text 2-3 times per listing, leading to wasted time and/or errors.  This is most annoying in UPC field and handling fees (any time you delete out and choose new shipping services the handling field reverts to 0.00 after roughly 5-10 seconds no matter what value was in the field).  

Please fix this.  This was never an issue under the old sell screen.

I also have this, but only in the promoted listing % field.  It defaults to their recommended value, and I usually lower it.  It often reverts back to the recommended value once I leave the field, like it's trying to slip one past me.  🙄

Disappearing text fields might be an indication of a conflict with a browser add-on. Try another browser with no add-ons installed to see if you encounter the same behavior. In the past, add-ons such as Ad Block, Duck Duck Go and Language Tool have caused problems when listing with the new listing tool, including entire item descriptions disappearing. There may be other add-ons that have yet to be identified that cause similar issues with other text fields.

I believe that there is a setting that can be checked which enables eBay to automatically select the recommended promotion percentage. You may have to uncheck that setting in order to prevent that from happening.

Yep, I am using adblockers, but I have been using the same browser and add-ons for years.  Only ebay has changed.  This was never an issue before the new (worse) seller tool.

Add-ons frequently update silently. Ad blockers can update ad filter definitions. Browsers receive updates. Operating systems receive updates. And of course, eBay updates things as well.

Just because you did not change anything does not mean that nothing has changed.

Regardless of what change may have caused the problem you are facing, if disabling a browser add-on or using a different browser makes the problem go away, wouldn't it be worth knowing that?

Something really annoying about the listing form @rereaders and @michigancolor is this issue with item specific fields where you can enter your own text. Hitting enter will not save what you type in. You have to manually hit the plus sign after typing your own text.

Here's a screenshot I created for another poster that was having this issue. See the gray plus sign to the left of "The Smurfs" below where you enter the text? You have to click that.

As for other sections where the plus sign does not appear, like UPC field, this is usually due to the lag that happens when the form is saving data entered in previous fields. When that info is saved it wipes out whatever you entered during the save, so you can either wait a few seconds between each field (which is annoying and takes forever) or you can keep entering data over and over.

On the top right there's a comments/feedback/tell us what you think link. Click on that and fill it out. Feedback goes directly to the developers and they will actively review problems reported through that form.
