This appears to be a current issue on ebay.ca, but not on ebay.com as far as I can tell.
If you are using ebay.ca and having problems with the filter options at the top of the search results page, try using the Advanced Search page to select those options instead. That seems to work better.
If you are having problems selecting options like "sold" or "ended"on the left side of the search results, where options selected do not seem to cause the search results to change, try hitting the "enter" key to apply the chosen option to the results.
