Sold items, no matter what browser, have blank descriptions with this note:
Your connection is not secure

This is happening to many people.
WE FIND OUR ITEMS THROUGH THE TITLES IN THE DESCRIPTION! WE CANNOT FIND OUR ITEMS TO SEND OUT TO OUR BUYERS!
Yes, I'm yelling.

I am also seeing the " item descriptions" are blocked by my browser IE
Content was blocked because it was not signed by a valid security certificate
I have changed my IE settings to Uncheck publisher's certificate revocation. it doesnt help much. I think eBay has script errors that need to be fixed ASAP!

I came here for the same reason. First time I have ever seen it.
I have found a way to get my description to show without the warning message and also makes me wonder if the error is occurring from the "manage orders awaiting shipment" section.
When you are on the page with the warning message, scroll up to the top and click print label. On the next page where you would enter your package information and pay for the label, in the upper left where your item name is highlighted click that and the page loads as it should with no warning.
Out of curiosity I searched my item using the advanced search tab by entering my item number and checking the sold box, when my item appeared and showed sold I clicked on it and it loaded as it should also.
However, when I try to click anything on the "manage orders awaiting shipment" page I get the warning message with no description.

Several other threads have reported this with screenshots of the error. This is caused by a 3rd party server(s) owned by Akamai, an added-value internet provider that many companies including ebay uses.
@Anonymous This has been reported for a couple days now in multiple threads. Is eBay aware that one of their 3rd party vendors has an out-of-date certificate and then it's negatively impacting the buyer and seller experience?

Hi all! Are you still running into this? I was able to replicate this once yesterday but after clearing cache/cookies, the problem hasn't resurfaced for some reason. Please keep me posted and I'll see what additional info I can find. Thanks!

It looks to be fixed. No problems today.
Thank you for checking up on us! I was wondering if anyone over there actually reads any of these.
