Did you mean:

European Union listings only

Why is it  that when I tick the EU only box in my search, UK,USA & Chinese also appear?  Can you please sort this out? It is a terrible waste of time having to scroll through countless items that are clearly not from the European Union. Thanks

Re: European Union listings only

It is not clear to me exactly what you are describing, possibly since I am in the US and primarily use ebay.com, where EU searches are not an option.

If you are searching on an EU eBay site, using the "EU only" Item location filter, you should be seeing results described as being located in the EU by the seller. That means you may see items sold by US and Chinese sellers if the seller says the item is located in and ships from an EU country. The "Continental Europe" option should work similarly. I believe that UK items currently still appear in EU searches, despite Brexit (and numerous complaints by users).

If there are few or no results matching your search criteria, eBay will often provide additional results from other areas after the initial results:

If you do not want to see results from other areas, avoid selecting results shown after that message in your search.

You may want to post on the community pages of the particular eBay site you are using to search as you are far more likely to encounter others that have experienced the issue first hand and can offer more practical suggestions.

As this is a user forum, any changes you want made to how searches are actually executed would need to be addressed to eBay directly through other means.

HI, I have the exact same issue for some time now. The preferred sear locations do not work anymore. Worldwide results are always shown regardless of the search criteria. Really annoying.

Re: European Union listings only

Something has apparently changed for users in some locations outside the US this summer. Many users in central Europe noticed broken links and translation problems that suddenly appeared. eBay designated an alert code ALERT13931 to use when contacting eBay regarding this issue -- though I think the alert code primarily dealt with broken customer support contact links which may have been fixed since then, the problems limiting searches by region outside the US appeared at the same time and may be related.

The search location options that appear (or whether they work correctly when used) may depend upon your actual location, so it is hard for others in different locations to offer suggestions other than to try using different sites and different search options to see if some combinations work better than others. The options on the Advanced Search page may be worth trying as well, in case they work differently than the options that appear on the search results page.

Are you using a mobile device or a computer to do your eBay searches?  What site or version of the app are you using, the US (.com) or one designed for an EU country, such as eBay Ireland?

Re: European Union listings only

For me it doesn't work in web browser on my computer, but in the Android app on my phone I can select Item location "Europe".

Re: European Union listings only

I have the same issue... first of all my saved searches that specifically searched only within the EU stopped working, then a few months ago, the option on the left hand side to search "Europe" or "European Union" vanished.

Contacted support a few times, they confirmed it was an error, but I gave up contacting support. I don't think its an error now, its more a feature... 😞
