Error 80124 when requesting total shipping.

Very annoying.

Error code: 80124 when asking for "request total" in shopping cart.
Screenshot provided.

 

Saw other people having the same issue at the Q&A section.

 

 

Another thing is, why do I even have to request total when the seller clearly states that more than 1 item ordered in the same order have lower shipping rate.

Isn't this suppose to be adjusted automatically in the shopping cart or checkout?

Error 80124 when requesting total shipping.

This is a new Ebay technical glitch.

Markdown sales items in the total order are known bugs for requesting orders, BUT it is now happening with normal items.

I cleared my cache, restarted my computer, used a different browser Firefox and Chrome, using a different computer using Windows and nothing works. Error codes Error code: 80018 or Error code: 80124

I got the same error message yesterday and today when trying to request a total for combined shipping from one seller. Been on chat with an agent who has put a ticket in with IT support. She got the same issue when she looked into it and it seems to be a systemwide error. Should be fixed in the next few hours hopefully.

Happening right now.....  same issue, and worst thing is items can be purchased by someone else

Just had it done today and had a problem with a buyer Sunday, Rep sent in a ticket on it. Said they'd get back to me with a work around. One new bug after another and their gonna be in control of my money in July UGH

This is the most recent message I received from Customer service:

"Thank you for reaching eBay Customer Service. I understand that you would like us to expedite the process in fixing the glitch on the site. I’ll explain to you further about it.
First off, we apologize for the delayed response, due to the high volume of messages we have been receiving recently and limited staffing caused by this pandemic situation, we weren't able to get back to you sooner. We appreciate your patience and understanding on this matter and rest assured that we are working on this to answer your queries as soon as we can. Your patience in waiting is well appreciated.
Please know that we don’t have an option to expedite the process in fixing the error. Only our technical team who are responsible to fix the glitch on the site as soon as possible. However, please understand that it will take time to fix the issue since it’s a site issue meaning all members are impacted with the glitch. As much as we want to expedite the process in fixing, we can’t possibly do it right way since as I have mentioned it’s a site wide glitch and it needs more time to have it fix.
At the same time, as of today there’s no updates yet that we received from out technical team. We are still waiting for them to give us a workaround that we can provide to our members. I totally understand that this is very annoying but I hope you consider that as much as we want to have a perfect eBay.com site, there are certain things that we can’t control and that is glitch.

This does not inspire confidence nor trust in EBAY. This is an action so basic and necessary that I can't believe they've allowed it to continue for more than 2 hours let alone 3 days (for me - for others longer).
