I have received three emails from customerhelp@ebay.com in the past couple of weeks. The first three I have received in over 20 years on eBay.
The first one had no information, just that eBay had tried to call me, but that my number was wrong in my information. I checked, and my number was correct, so I called eBay. They said the SR# was real, but had no idea why they might have been calling.
The second email from them had no information again and just said eBay was trying to contact me.
Today I received one about an item that sold and was delivered that eBay had already approved a return for because the buyer ordered the wrong size. The buyer has a feedback rating of 0. The email is in very poor english and states that I am supposed to send the buyer an additional $8.45 to cover the return shipping when the item arrives. First of all, the item is already in transit back to me. Second, the shipping charge was $5.85. Third, I don't offer free returns so this is clearly a case where the buyer is to pay the return shipping. This is very suspect. Is anyone else getting odd emails?

Hi this is Beth from Ebay regarding the item Silhouette Titanium 7799 40 6102 Matte Gold Rx Eyeglasses Frames ..[]19-140 6921 (323189872848) that your buyer tona_us_jzuesg purchase June 27, 2018 where in return claim was opened and because the buyer open return reason choosing an wrong size purchase they were ask to pay for the shipping. Reviewing the case and Ebay find out that it is a valid reason for seller to take care of the shipping and since buyer paid for $8.45 we would appreciate if you could include it on the refund that you will be processing back. If there's any question please let us know.

Make that FOUR! I forgot about this one. I received this cryptic message about a week BEFORE this item was sold. This email was received July 1st. The item sold on July 8th.
