Ebay buyer protection program

Wanted to see if anyone can help me as to why I may be dealing with this or if anyone else out there is having the same issues.

About 8-10 days ago i noticed all my listings no longer had the buyer protection seal and at the bottom under the pricing, where it states the coverage buyer has if they purchase the product, it says to quote " (Not eligible for eBay purchase protection programs)" ,Just got off the phone today and the investigation i opened 10 days ago is still open and nobody has answers.

any ideas?

I notice your listings don't show the Paypal logo, so it appears you are in Managed Payments.  So am I, but my listings do show the Money Back Guarantee.  Then I noticed that you have free returns as well as Guaranteed Delivery.  Perhaps the combination of each those somehow kicks out the MBG ????

yes that was my initial thought that it had to with merchant processing but ebay told me 1000% it shouldnt be an issue.

why would me meeting all of ebays requirements harm my account? why would offering guaranteed delivery, free shipping and free returns take away my moneyback guaraantee.

Seems illogical that it would, but **bleep** coding would explain it.

To clarify: both Managed Payments and merchant account payment methods are SUPPOSED to have eBay MBG protection?

Good to know.

Looked again an it is very odd. Thought "maybe it's an unannounced change in that category" but no. All other sellers have the eBay MBG white box above their seller info on the right of the listings, and TRS sellers have it there too. None have anything like that blurb you have below the returns info in the middle.

Seems to be an account related thing, and I hope they can suss it out.

I wouldn't worry about it. Since you have free returns, buyers can return anything for any reason anyway! So there's really no need for the MBG, why would anyone need to use it when you have free returns, they're basically the same thing.

To punish the scum seller with negative feedback, stress, a possibility of unresolved seller defects, sending back a brick with no way for seller to withhold part of refund, and I don't know what else. (not up to date on all the parameters for free returns and if it mitigates some of those things) Smiley Sad
