I just bought a Shirt for $20 with shipping $20.08 from the US to Switzerland.
Ebay added $1.62 and suddenly the amount I had to pay was $43.33.
Fact 1: In Switzerland we don't pay VAT for anything below a value of $70 (item + delivery)
Fact 2: For me 20 + 20.08 + 1.62 is NOT 43.33
I contacted their helpdesk, first they asked me to send a proof of the tax law in Switzerland and then asked me to file a complaint about the VAT here. Seems that helpdesk couldn't understand or fix this issue. They finished my request without helping me wishing me "positivity".
Did any of you have a similar issue? How did you solve it?

Commenting to see what others say.
After going to the link they provided you, I'm dumbfounded. Nowhere that I could find to "file a complaint" about the bad math or taxing when unnecessary. I even followed multiple other links from that link and became even more confused. What a convoluted mess!
However, I did find this page:
https://vat-one-stop-shop.ec.europa.eu/index_en
And at the bottom is a portion that mentions exemptions being removed. Still doesn't address the bad math. Maybe they want you to go on a wild goose chase and follow all those links about refunds and VATs.
