I recently issued a partial refund of $40 to a customer on a $120 dollar item which was agreed upon between both parties. EBay then refunded an additional $40 without my consent and said that I had initiated it when I certainly had not. To me, this is ebay stealing money. I have contacted customer support twice. The first time they said they were having similar issues and it would be handled. The second time they said there was no record of any such issues and that there was nothing they could do. While I'm on the topic, has anyone noticed that any conversations regarding money mismanagement have been blocked so you can't read them or respond?

How did you issue that partial refund? Through the order detail page on eBay? Or through another means?
