The eBay search engine is not returning results for description searches. Or it is failing to properly index descriptions when an item is listed. (Indexing is the process by which descriptions are assimilated into the search engine database.). Either way, buyers who use title/description search are not seeing all the results that should be returned by their searches if the search engine were working properly. I have performed several tests and in most instances received 0 results for title/description searches when normally I would receive dozens, even hundreds of results. This problem has been ongoing for at least the past 2-3 days.
If you are a seller and your items are suddenly not receiving the bids/views they normally would, this may be why. If you are a buyer using title/description search and suddenly not getting the kind of results you are accustomed to, this may be why.
I urge eBay to please fix the title/description search issue as soon as possible. My buyers rely heavily on title/description search, consequently so do my sales. I am sure thousands of other sellers are similarly affected.

Refreshing the page doesn't work. The only fix I have found is to turn Sold Items off and on again.

You are currently signed in to the US ebay.com site.
Sign out here and sign back in to the UK site:
Possibly one or more of your saved searches may be directing you to the US site. Check each search and make sure it gives you results on ebay.co.uk -- if not, delete the old search from the list, edit the page address of the search results and then save the new search.
If you have problems seeing page two of a seller's items, try changing the number of items per page to 120, then navigating to page two and beyond.

Example; I click Harley Davidson fork seals , 10,000+ results . Click "price + post lowest first" = 1500 results ?

Of which it will only show on 1 or 2 pages then go blank

Lowest First sort is not like other sorts. eBay will only show "relevant" search results unless you click on the "Show all" or "See more results" link at the top of the search results.

Change the number of items per page to 120 and you should be able to see further pages.

I don't know if this will work for everyone, but when I turned off the browser adblocker on the search results page and refreshed it, I received many more results from the search function. The same issue was happening searching in our store pages. Turning off the adblocker made all of our listings show up, where 1/3rd of them were missing with it turned on.

The problem with some search results being blocked that I see seems to be related to a particular set of ad blocking rules in Ad Block Plus that is enabled by default.
It is possible to disable that set of rules and still use the other rules.

It looks to me that ebay is interested in our money, but not in how they support their customers on whom they depend.

I have to agree, especially with regard to the glass/pottery categories now combined. As a dealer of only art glass my ebay deals are down 90%...it really is no wonder that ebay put up their charges as they must be losing business with so many disgruntled customers such as myself.

I can tell you that my searches on ebay.co.uk frequently do not include items which are listed on ebay.com - the upshot is that I have to do exactly the same search on both platforms in order to get all the listings.
That means it takes twice as much work to search for the same stuff but it also gives the feeling that something serious in ebay is not working properly.

In theory, the same items should appear on both sites assuming you are using the same shipping location to calculate your shipping estimates on both sites, using the same sort order, and searching using "worldwide" item location on both sites, rather than the "default" item location, which can hide some international items.
Exceptions would be items that only have domestic shipping listed on one site that might not appear on other country sites, I think.
I have not tested this thoroughly, so it is certainly possible that some items listed on one site are not appearing on another.
Do you have an example handy that you can find on one site but not another?
