Custom Templates not inserting correctly.

For the past couple of days my Custom Templates get inserted at the beginning of the description no matter where the cursor is.  I have to cut and paste them to get them in the right place.  Very infuriating!

Is this a glitch or am I doing something wrong?  

This is on a laptop running Windows 11 Home if that matters. Thank you.
