Contact Seller not working?

When I click Contact Seller on a listing, I make it to the first screen where I can select a reason, but when I again click Contact Seller to get to the message compose screen, I'm instead taken to a blank screen with just the eBay navigation bars on top and no other visible content. I tried two different browsers, same result. Anybody else seeing this?

Join the club!  I posted the same thing about an hour ago. I am having other problems too, like not being able to zoom in on photos on selected auctions. the contact seller worked this morning, about 4 hours ago, not now.

I am able to compose a message to a seller starting from the seller's listing using the latest version of Firefox.

I see the blank screen except for headers in Chrome and Edge, though.

What browsers have you tried, and which versions?

Are you able to contact a seller using the link on the seller's feedback or profile page?

Other possible things to try: contacting the seller on ebay.ca instead of ebay.com, or using the eBay app instead of a browser to contact a seller.

I am also using firefox (115.14) and I still cannot send a message. I also used the latest win7 version of chrome, and that didn't work either.

Firefox 128.02 seems to be working for me.

I was able to compose a message using Edge by starting from the seller's profile page rather than using the contact link in a listing using the "not about an item" option. Have not tried Chrome yet, but that may work, too.

Still experiencing the problem in Firefox and Chromium. I tried clearing cache and cookies, and no change. For those who have it working in one browser, is the URL in the location bar the same when it works and when it doesn't? I'm wondering if we're being redirected to a bad URL for some reason.

You may be on to something.

In Firefox (working), the URL looks like this:

https://www.ebay.com/contact/sendmsg?item_id=186276719837&recipient=astotek&message_type_id=14

In Edge (not working) the URL looks like this:

https://www.ebay.com/cnt/ViewMessage/ajax/getAllMessages?reference_id=186276719837&reference_type=LI...

Those are the specific links I can see when I hover my cursor over the "Still have questions? Contact Seller" button after using the contact link in the listing, so not a redirection issue -- the links are actually different in different browsers.

If I paste the Firefox URL into Edge, I get the compose screen to load. And if I paste the Edge link into Firefox, I get the header of the page only, just as in Edge.

So another potential workaround would be to take that Firefox link, plug in your valid item number and seller username, and use that to try to compose a message.

It is possible that if I sign out of Firefox or clear my cookies and sign back in, my working Firefox will start acting like the nonworking Edge and Chrome versions.

Thanks, I'll try using your good URL as a template, and I have a feeling it will work. When I noticed that ViewMessage in the URL, it raised my suspicions because I'm trying to write a message, not view a message.

I can confirm this is a workaround. Use the first URL in @eburtonlab 's message above, with the appropriate item number and username substituted for the values in the example, and you can proceed to send a message. Thanks for that useful information!

The same thing happened to me yesterday. I had to post a new message because I could not reply to any of the users that had posted about the blank contact seller page.  I just messaged a seller now, so it seems to be working.  I'm on a PC using Edge.

Exactly. I tried Firefox and Chrome, and I installed Opera Freshly.

Blank page no matter from where I click on Contact the Seller.

I have an issue with the item he sent, but now the only way is to leave 1 star for him so he may contact me or report him to eBay so they put me in contact with him.

I even tried to log out and log back in from that different browser...I entered all perfectly I filled Are you a human and then I got thrown back on enter password page displaying the message "Oops password is wrong, even though I just got past it to verify human thing and I know my pass and can type it while I'm blindfolded and my hands tied behind my back"

Gazillions worth company can't handle this thing in like 1h? No wonder Amazon is crushing g Ebay to the ground, sadly as I like Ebay b better, but lately eBay has been a nightmare..

When I placed an order on this particular item eBay even double-charged me for who knows what, then returned took it away, and left my PayPal account in red color....

Now I kind of buy from eBay only if I can't find an item on Amazon or somewhere else because I'm afraid there will be an issue and My PayPall will go in red yet again...has happened quite a bit just from eBay.

If someone from eBay is reading this and has some power....your company is sinking like a Titanic.
