Yea, I have had the same thing happening for quite awhile now, so you are definitely not alone. Same thing for asking me if I really want to leave any one page. Both events appear to be random and not related to clearing my cache.
I have not experienced on ebay but I have experienced it on other sites. I changed browser from chrome and did not have this problem. Example of browsers are Avast and internet explorer. Hope this helps
