Cannot change PayPal payment method during checkout (javascript) Chrome/Edge

I cannot change my PayPal payment method from the default method during checkout.

Chrome Version 69.0.3497.100 (Official Build) (64-bit)

 

Once you've selected "PayPal" under "Pay with" on the checkout screen, and successfully logged in to PayPal in the popup, back on the checkout screen PayPal is selected, shows payment method directly under the PayPal logo ("VISA ####"), and under that is a link that says "Change" which when hovered over is "javascript : ;" (without the spaces).  I click the "Change" link and nothing happens. Click click click click click. Nothing. It should expand a list of my PayPal payment methods, like it used to, but it does not anymore. I figured maybe it was some javascript compatibility issue with this massive Chrome overhaul recently, but when I tried logging in and checking out in Microsoft Edge, it's not working on there either!

So instead of checking out and paying directly from my business checking account via my PayPal account, I have to checkout with my personal credit card (because I cannot change the default PayPal payment method), then go and log in to my credit card account website and set up a payment there from my business account to cover the charge, instead of just being able to do it directly through eBay checkout with PayPal.

Here's what I ended up doing to purchase this item: opening PayPal in a separate tab, logging in on PayPal's website, changing my preferred payment method on there to my business checking account, going back to the eBay item and restarting checkout, selecting PayPal payment, logged in for the checkout screen, which took me to my PayPal account in the popup, closed the popup, selected PayPal payment again, PayPal login in the popup again, worked this time and loaded my newly-selected preferred payment method (bank account) on the checkout screen, confirmed purchase, went back to PayPal website, had to log in again there, and changed my preferred payment method back to my personal credit card.
