Since May 30 or so, I have not been able to see the original auction listing of a number of sold auctions. Instead there is a blue banner at the top of the page stating that the listing has ended and offering an entirely different active auction in its place below.
If this is a tentative rollout leading to the eventual elimination of completed listings, I want to voice my disapproval of this change. I find these completed-sold listings very informative and valuable.
I WANT TO BE ABLE TO SEE COMPLETED - SOLD AUCTIONS.

I contacted Ebay support through chat last night and the technician said she was aware of the problem (agreed that it was a huge problem) - and said she would forward my concerns along to technical support. So it seems like they are aware of the issue, but please do the same if you can - this can be resolved if more people chime in.

This is **bleep**. I am waiting on a call back right now to complian. The work around of the hidden link only shows up on "some" listings. Mist of what I look at doesn't even show the link to the real listing.
Just another tactic by greedbay to force people into buying something that is not what they are looking at! You click on a $300 item and then it shows you some active broken piece of junk you can buy for $50. They hope idiots will just click buy. All ebay cares about is making sales!

I hate this new "feature". I keep lots of Ebay tabs open. I don't always intend to bid...sometimes I simply want to see what an item sells for. This is especially true for an item that I'm not familiar with. I can get many data points over a period of time...comlete with the texture of the listing. Well, I'm going to suspend my purchases until this is fixed.

Not happy, this is terrible. Are they going to fix this, or is this the new style ?

Your work around no longer works!

From what i read around the forum this is broken for everyone just about.
It must be a programming bug in the website, it's just too stupid to be anything else.
It introduces extra clicks even if the workarounds (that many users have suggested here and in other posts that I read,) do work. It's also a GREAT TIME WASTER to use any workaround for something that common sense dictates how to accomplish it.
So, EBAY PLEASE FIX THIS AND EQUALLY IMPORTANT INFORM US THAT YOU ARE ACTIVELY WORKING ON THIS........HELLOOOO

It is ridiculous. Sometimes completed takes you to the original listing. More frequently it redirects to a "similar item". It even occurs when I get an email that I won an auction then I click on the link to see the item I won. The work around (for now) does work but why does it have to occur in the first place? At best a useless irritating marketing tool. Hopefully ebay will listen to the community and get back to keeping it simple.

Being able to quickly see completed listings is an important tool for buyers and sellers.
