Notifications still do not work dummies, this is a huge hassle and slows down sales and offers even more. A billion dollar company and eBay only gets worse by the day. Also cannot delete credit cards either I called eBay even as well and the foreign guy even said it is eBay's fault so I have to keep an outdated and cancelled card on the site that they keep setting as my default payment now, and when I click paypal sometimes it does not work and stays on the credit card. eBay could not or would not delete it, I click delete and the screen just goes white and dot not register. A lot of shady **bleep** going on here.

OK so to avoid the hassle of hooking up my newer computer just for eBay, and having to switch back to my older one for everything else, I went to the library and logged in there to try and delete the card and it worked. So I guess to save time I will have to just go there whenever I need to make a change on eBay that does not work, which is pretty stupid and less secure as I had to delete cookies after logging out to be sure my password was not saved. But it got the job done.

What is annoying though is that eBay still will not revert back to paypal as my default payment, as it has always been and now makes you pick it or defaults on add a card. Seems they do no want you to use paypal anymore and are trying really hard to force cards, which is a huge hassle as my cards are already now filled up every day with their stupid MP transactions.

I cannot delete an old payment method, either. I have three old credit card numbers as payment methods and the "delete" prompt simply doesn't function. Like some of the other complainants state, the screen just goes white. And I know of no way reconcile this issue.

I just deleate an unused card last week. Are you adding the new one in before deleating the old one? You need to have a credit or debit card on file as a backup payment source, so if you are trying to remove one before adding another, might be causing the issues.
When was the last time you cleared your history/cache?

What browsers have you tried? Type and version?
Have you tried using the eBay app on your phone?

How to manage add remove or delete credit debit or bank payment option from your ebay account
Install the ebay app on your "PHONE" (Using the PC doesn't work)
Open the app and login
tap on "My Ebay"
tap on "Payments"
tap on "Payment Options"
next you will see your payment methods followed by the buttons to "Manage" and "Delete"
Note: If only one payment option is listed, it will not delete. Try adding (different pmt method) 1st.

You do quite a lot of business on eBay while running a legacy system. These gotchas will keep popping up.

What if you just want to delete all cards completely and only add as purchases made! IT"S **bleep** for sure.
I had fraud from this on Paypal .... Paypal won't let me delete card either. I"m just not purchasing anymore using either. I cannot see how it is legal to maintain account information if you are not purchasing an item. Scary that we are losing control of our own credit card information.
I'm going to see my attorney about this. I'm not playing their game.

I am not able to delete a cancelled credit card on EBay. Also the report seller option does not work. My debit card & credit card & SS number were all hacked & stolen off EBay. Only place I had them stored. There’s no card protection any more because we don’t have pay pal protection. Really bad set up now!!!

As sad as it may sound, ebay won't let you delete a card unless you 1st add a different card. And you may also be forced to use the phone app to do so. That's what I was "forced" to do .
