Can't Message a Seller

Anyone else having issues sending a message? I'm trying to send a message to a seller I bought from and after I click "send message" a page with a red bar keeps appearing and says something went wrong and I should try again later. Never seen it before, it just started today.

Sorry, but I don't think I should have to use a different browser or do work-arounds to do something as simple as respond to a message.  The year is 2022.  The fact that this is even an issue on a site the size of ebay is mind-blowing.  2 months ago it was paypal suddenly not being a payment option.  Last month it was not even being able to stay logged in so as to print shipping labels.  This month I can't send messages to buyers.  This is just not acceptable on a platform as large as ebay.

Did anyone try contacting eBay about this problem? What did they say?

Yes I am trying to send a message now for about 45 minutes and it will not go through.

I finally got to chat with a customer service rep and then someone who supposedly  above that and knew what was going on.  They said there is a system wide failure that will be corrected soon and apologized all over the place.  Well that was almost a week ago and NOTHING!  I can reply through the app on my phone but is it cumbersome.  This is stupid.  Ebay certainly doesn't care much for the buyers and I think the sellers should all be informed of this.  I have been communicating with a couple of them through the mobile app.  Nothing else works.

I’m not having any issues with messages. I don’t use the app.It could be your browser. Try clearing cookies and cache. 
This thread is over a year old and may have nothing at all to do with your issue.
