 If you want to know exactly what is going on and weather eBay is truly up and running this site will tell you. It is independent of eBay and interestingly shows times when there are outages on the site despite there being no mention of it by eBay themselves on their own system board. Hummm?? Feel free to check the current status of eBay for your self, leave comments and rate eBay as you see fit.

I check the DownDetector most days. eBay, Amazon and PayPal.

Iterestingly, the River has more issues reported, on a regular basis, than eBay.

I  check the River for comparison to eBay issues.

When PayPal has issues, there are, of course, cooresponding issues on eBay and Amazon.

Note that  the downdetector does not verify posters. This means that the downdetector can be SPAMMED. Do not use the downdetector as a basis for any deductions about any site.

Case in point..At 1300 yesterday, all three sites were having a greater than normal amount of issues reported.

You cannot use the downdetector to form an opinion of one company.

When you've only had 2 sales all month long, No need to click on links, Some here already know what's going on. Worse month ever in 6 years here, The more programs eBay rolls out to "help sellers", the worse it gets. I Love my tax guy, he's the best. Good Luck to you.

Have not received saved searches for many items I watch for almost two months, also no longer receive notifications when a watched item is ending.  Have called to complain but may as well be talking to myself as nothing has changed.  So if sellers are not able to sell items due to the "technical glitch" ebay has been working on, then how much longer can they survive???  I no longer believe they are working to resolve this issue, have been doing my online shopping elsewhere.  Very disappointed "former buyer"!

Bugs, bugs, bugs. bugs EVERY where.
Seems "the glitches/malfunctions" are so continual and so bad, eBay tech is overwhelmed. Whatever entity is actively creating the issues, is not interested in shutting down the site all at once, but orchestrating systematic layered intrusions.

There's another popular e-commerce site, similar to eBay, that offers a Tech Status Update page for their sellers. This site does make the claim, to do their best to acknowledge and provide updates on as many tech issues/fixes as possible. While it may not be a complete list, certainly very helpful to the seller to see a designated site page with current tech status reports.

LOL...an independent site giving real time outages. Comments from real time users and coments on this subject are "you cant listien to this site?" and "Amazon has more". I wounder who posted these...and where they work, EBAY!

    In any case here are 3 days LISTED on DownDetector where there were KNOWN issues that were NEVER reported on eBay's site. Many days there are "Possible Problems" at eBay.

Resolved issues:

• 11 August: Problems at eBay

• 21 July: Problems at eBay

All major sites have issues. There are many forces at work trying to cause harm, plus normal issues that arise from complicated data interdependence, system configurations, and human error.

IMO, that is a bit weak. There are sub systems that are not on that page. Search, messaging, and systems (server) health come to mind. Each area really should have more detail about the system and it's issues. Most especially, I would like to see resolved issues reported.

But there is a trade off for that info. Does eBay provide resources to keep that page updated, or do they provide the resources to fix the issues. To me, the first equates to finger pointing and the latter to solutions.

The eBay system it getting worse. Issue getting worse. See what real users have to say and how their business are being effected by eBay's throttling of our accounts. If you are having issues. You do realize that down detector is supposed to show technical problems in not being to able to access ebay, not ups and downs with sales?

OUCH....eBay lost 6.5% of stock value.  A CEO jumps ship. Stock is downgraded. EBay was down over the weekend. Down Detector is showing HUNDREDS of reports with problems on eBay. EBay site.....shows NOTHING!! If you want to know what is going on with eBay do not look here to these boards. To find the TRUTH you must look OFF EBAY. Ecomerce bytes is a good site. Down Detector shows real time outages and "POSSIBLE PROBLEMS" at eBay.

That doesn't count as the site itself being down. It's that the sellers are invisible or the buyers are unable to buy.

Im hearing you.. ticked all the boxes even bought bar codes ( EANS ) ready to go to feature shop up 100 % plus  month on month ,, then died last 2 month down 50% per month consecutively ... my question is buyers protection as been made priority  by ebay for years .. where is our buyers protection they are taking our money for services not delivered.. where is our 30 day money back guarantee for not for filling  our agreement ...Hippocrates ( not sure if that spell checker is right )  i want eBay to work for all my efforts put in but as a business partnership confidence is rock bottom .. about time ebay manned up to its side of the bargain .. saw earlier some disgruntled seller was appealing to paypal for  refund for his fees as service not delivered .. it seems they have got all us little people over a barrel .. now at least 10 days admittance since 15th mess up thank you for your patience they say .. mine is certainly wearing thin
