App Searches Not Working

The search feature on the phone app has been broken for nearly a day. Searches bring up non-related items. Could not locate any information online besides other users expressing similar frustrations. What’s going on eBay? This is bad for everyone, buyers can’t locate items to buy, sellers are losing sales due to no buyers, and eBay’s losing all those sweet sweet fees.

Lots of folks seem to be complaining about sports card searches lately so you are not alone, though my searches return reasonable looking results for me.

If you are using the eBay app, make sure you have the latest version of the app; older versions may be unstable.

Try using a different sort if you are using "Best Match". Try narrowing the results to one category. Try putting one of your search keywords in quotes. Try searching using a browser instead of the app.

I’ve tried all the various things you’ve suggested. Browser works fine, but that’s beside the point, the mobile app search function is broken. My app is the latest update, even uninstalled and reinstalled it.

What app version number do you have?

6.168.0.1 seems to be working for me for sports card searches I have tried.

You can report app issues to eBay by shaking your phone while the app is active. Seriously.
