Last payday I bought a few things 8+. eBay let most of them go through but a few after paying and the money being put on hold were refunded immediately and eBay said I needed to take action. I tried again and PayPal said I couldn't make the payment. No reason given of course.
I contacted eBay and they were obviously aware of this issue because they did damage control by outright lying to me. They said it was due to the seller having limitations on their PayPal. That wasn't the case as I rang my bank who reported $0.00 attempts which are automatically declined.
I ended up saying successfully with a friends Credit Card and immediately paying them the money. (however I did buy different version of those items from different sellers)
OK...2 weeks later and a new payday. I'm trying again for a few items and this time I am trying Afterpay as my payment method. 5 items to buy. Everything goes through then I get hit with 3 refunds. I continue to try again and it's not working. I try on my computer and they all go through again but are marked as "pending". I wait 5min and 2 of the 3 are refunded and the 1st goes through fully.
What is going on with eBay and their system? I am using the AU site at 2am which means traffic shouldn't be that high. I hate that I was lied to and that when I looked into issues similar they just go so far back it's like eBay don't have even the smallest interest in fixing this issue.
