Re: Amazon pop ups

You may want to turn on your Pop Up Blocker. Hope it works!

  1. Launch Settings.
  2. Tap Safari.
  3. Under the General section, click the toggle next to Block Pop-ups to enable or disable the pop-up blocker. A green toggle indicates an enabled pop-up blocker.

Re: Amazon pop ups

Hello, I am also having this same problem when using my ipad air 2 ios 11.04. When I log into ebay the spreediscount.com popup comes up with a bogus offer from amazon. This only happens when I actually log on. It happens with safari, the google chrome app, and the firefox app. it happens when at home or anywhere else i can log on from. I have tried all the supposed cures, ie:clear cache, delete history, reboot, flick the popup away, set popup blockers to on. Nothing has helped so far. It still happens randomly when I log on. It does not happen when I logon with my windows 7 or windows 10 pc. So I think it is an ebay issue in conjunction with an apple vulnerability. Ebay and /or apple is going to have to get involved and find out what was hacked or breeched or something that is allowing this to happen. The only thing to do when it is occurring is either do a hard reboot, or close down the browser and flick it away from the bottom. At least that gets rid of it for a while.

i predict that overnight there will be 6 amazon suckers attached

Re: Amazon pop ups

This is a malicious redirect, it’s not a virus, not malware. Most likely from a third party ad that eBay hosts and didn’t vett. Ebay has to fix. Only happens to Apple iPads.

See this example that happened to the major credit reporting agencies.

Re: Amazon pop ups

I was having the same issue on my IPad Pro including unrecognition of password so I called Ebay tec support. I’m not sure if they did something but within a day it was fixed. Other things I tried did not work. I let them know that clients were complaining they could not buy due to these issues.

Re: Amazon pop ups

I think Ebay got smart and fixed it, dumping the fake ad company that had the malicious code. I truly believe this was a server side issue and not client side malware.
