2FA Notifications Not Arriving in Android APP

I have an issue using 2FA on my Android phone. I have had 2FA enabled for some time. It worked fine, but stopped some time ago.

If I try and sign in to ebay (web based either on computer or phone) I enter my username/email and password. I then get a screen telling me a notification has been sent for me to approve. Nothing arrives, whether I have the app open on my phone or not.

I have to click on the link for trouble logging in and choose the option to get a code via SMS. It arrives in second. and I get in.

It's the same phone on which I have my ebay app, to where the SMS code is sent. I'd really just prefer to authorise the notification than type in the code I get sent. 

Anyone got any suggestions as to how I solve this?

What version number of the eBay app are you using? And what Android operating system version number?

Some app issues can be solved by deleting the eBay app, restarting your phone, and then installing the latest version of the eBay app from the Google Play Store. The restart in between ensures a clean install. And make sure you are signed in to the same eBay account that you are using in your browser.

Hi Thanks for your response. I'm running Android 11 and version 6.19.0.3 of the ebay app.

I have tried uninstalling and re-installing the app, but still have the same issue.
