The mark is that of "Arte Ceramica Italiana" (The Art of italian Ceramics). It was established in Sesto Fiorentino, a suburb of Florence, in 1939 by Giorgio Barraud and Nello Messeri. The firm closed in the mid 1940''s. Examples from this firm, while of some historical value, are not particularly collectible. What if find interesting is the fact that the vase was not marked "Made in Italy" as required by both English and American Import regulations. Incudently, the correct spelling for a burial crypt is "Mausoleum".

Correction: Incudently should be incidently. Short, fat Italian fingers that can't type, old age with occasional brain farts , early morning without coffee. Choose one or more for my excuse. Thank you
