I remember seeing these twine wrappped glassware growing up ...but now I cannot find anything like these to help me identify the maker or manufacture...
I suppose they are handcrafted ... the craftsman put wire in a normal glass cups. These products are made to use with very cold drinks and are commonplace (in various formats) in tropical countries. It is impossible to know where they were made.
You can find lots of examples of the hobbyist wrapped wine bottles, using jute, twine, etc., but they don't usually cover the bottoms. Also, these look like they have some kind of lacquer or varnish on them. Janet
