perhaps it is boot as in "boot it out" in the US? - "Trunk sale" would probably cause all kinds of confusion - and you would probably get the animal welfare folk out in droves trying to rescue elephants!

Sara- nope it's boot as in somebody here finally figured out that a car trunk is called a boot in GB, and calling it by the British term might make it sound somehow "classier". LOL Diane

Boot fair does sound "classier" than fleamarket. I wonder how many ppl will show up expecting a great sale on "just boots." LOL

Stores and Fashion Houses use the term "Trunk Sale" I guess it means right off the sewing machine. Well beebop, that's a great question. I'm leaving for the boot fair in about an hour, so I'll let you all know how many of the local yokels here were just expecting boots to be on sale! Diane

Well.....it started raining about 2 minutes after we left the house to go there. We went anyway of course It wasn't a heavy rain, but I think it kept a lot of people (including vendors) away. There were probably about 50 vendors there and about 5 shoppers - 2 of which were hubbie and I. We had our pick of the stuff, which was great. Spent $12, on one item, which should sell for around $75 or so on eBay. Not a postcard - a vintage video game console, games and accessories. We sell those as well Didn't see any boots for sale Diane

Well, if it was today, then I missed it. Then there is the grandson's birthday party at 11:30 a.m. tomorrow and then, maybe I could try to get to the ending of the PC show. Think it's worth it to me? Do I need the email? Deb
