Terry: A Pile of tat = lots of objects that are tastelessness by virtue of being cheap and vulgar, but whose owners want huge amounts of money for. Paul - loved the feedback generator. but I would miss the awful bad spellings that I get for example: Flantrastic seller. (maybe a comment on my cooking ability?) Very quik deleriory (maybe I was suffering from sun stroke?) Supper seller (no I do not sell food of any type) wud hapily deal wiv agin (do I need to say anything here) My personal favourite: Thanks for the dog it will sit on my piano well. (they had purchased a postcard of London.....I never did get an explanation - and couldn't see any history of dog purchases either!) Sara

Sara, Loved the examples of bad spelling, They gave me a good laugh for the evening. I'm not the greatest speller so I may be added to the list sometime. Colleen

In honour of Breast Cancer Month and in memory of Erma Bombeck who lost her fight with cancer IF I HAD MY LIFE TO LIVE OVER (By Erma Bombeck) I would have invited friends over to dinner even if the carpet was stained and the sofa faded. I would have eaten the popcorn in the GOOD living room and worried much less about the dirt when someone wanted to light a fire in the fireplace. I would have taken the time to listen to my grandfather ramble about his youth. I would never have insisted the car windows be rolled up! On a summer day because my hair had just been teased and sprayed. I would have burned the pink candle sculpted like a rose before it melted in storage. I would have sat on the lawn with my children and not worried about grass stains. I would have cried and laughed less while watching television and more while watching life. I would have gone to bed when I was sick instead of pretending the earth would go into a holding pattern if I wasn’t there for the day. I would never have bought anything just because it was practical, wouldn’t show soil or was guaranteed to last a lifetime. Instead of wishing away nine months of pregnancy, I’d have cherished every moment realizing that the wonderment growing inside me was the only chance in life to assist God in a miracle. When my kids kissed me impetuously, I would never have said, “Later, now go get washed up for dinner.” There would have been more “I Love You’s” and more “I’m sorry’s” but mostly, given another shot at life, I would seize every minute ….. Look at it and really see it… live it. And never give it back. Sara

wise words on nice sentiments i found these lyrics recently Postcards and letters And pictures made to last forever To be boxed up and tossed away Knickknacks and souvenirs In an afternoon, they're out of here They'll disappear without a trace But what they mean to me Can never be replaced from kenny rogers.... not usually my music scene but nice lyrics PTL

My stepdaughter went through a year and a half bout with a brain tumor. She's fine now, working on completing her college degree. What she learned was very similar to what Erma Bombeck had to say. She is very glad to be alive, and tries to enjoy every minute. She doesn't obsess about her experience, and just looks forward. She is a joy to know and be around. When we first found out about this two years ago, I would never have thought we'd all learn something from it. 'Life is good,' according to my coffee mug, and 'Do what you like. Like what you do.' Seems corny, but I understand it a little better now. - Terry

HI Terry, Thank goodness your stepdaughter is OK, it must have been a real worry. I only have to look at Amy to remind myself what a gift life is, and to treasure every minute of it. She certainly puts some of the trivial nonsence into perspective. I for one am going outside right now to take a lung full of the clean crips (but foggy) air and say "thanks". Sara
