I sold a book and it was supposed to be via media mail . My sellers payment was a media mail price but i was charged more money for my printing label. Any ideas as how to proceed?

To buy a shipping label for Media Mail on Ebay, the item has to be listed in a category that qualifies for Media Mail.

Have a great day.

kensgiftshop beat me to it -- eBay lately evidently has been checking categories more carefully.  In order to qualify for media mail, the item has to be listed in the books category.  I believe your book was listed in "Collectibles".

If the item qualifies for MM then just void the label that you purchased.

Go to PP, stamps dot com, pirate ship for a label, or the Post Office retail counter and pay to ship, and add the new tracking #. Cost at the counter is the same as online.

Precisely. USPS, not eBay, determines which items qualify for Media Mail.

eBay has been notified numerous times about the item vs. category qualification for USPS Media Mail. Supposedly a fix is in the works.

Yes, and Ebay is trying to help cut down on Media Mail abuse.

Ebay has been taking the option to ship media mail away for a whole lot of categories.  The mistake they originally made appear to only take main categories into consideration regardless of what the sub categories were.  This has caused many problems for a lot of seller.

You need to look closely at what categories you choose to list your MM items in.  Likely the category you used for this last one simply wasn't the right category.

I personally have had great problems for several months because of this and many of the things I sell.  I'm in the right categories, but Ebay shipping team forgot them as they were sub categories.  They are currently working on a fix, but no guess as to when it will happen.

I'm not aware of Ebay releasing a list of categories and sub categories that are OK for shipping via MM, but it sure would be a good idea for them to release such a list sooner rather than later.  Sellers could really use such a thing.
