Pay Pal never was an option for sellers in Sri Lanka, unless they bought Pay Pal accounts in other countries or just set up fake accounts.

eBay no longer uses PayPal for sellers. Sri Lankans must attach a Payoneer account to receive the buyer's payments they make.
Sri Lankan buyers can still pay with PayPal using a credit card on PayPal and that payment will be deposited into your Payoneer account.
Sri Lanka does not allow a bank account attached to PayPal however they do allow a credit card. A debit card would not be allowed as that is a bank account payment.
For the safest method of payment use a credit card on PayPal. That way you have 180 days of buyer protection instead of 30 days.

Thank you. Last year a lot of Sri Lankans came here for help and a lot of times they were told this is US, go to your own board. Some of them didn't realize Sri Lanka didn't have an eBay site like the US, the UK , India, etc.
The US poices apply to Sri Lankans.
I had to research why there was a problem with payments when over a year ago there was no preblem. That's when I discovered why some Sri Lankans couldn't pay with PayPal and some could. (credit cards worked, e-check and debit cards didn't), and found your government's website that has very useful information.
I think the Mentors are all up to date now on helping you guys get a selling account and helping with your listings.
