managed payments

Managed payments is ruining the business it took me 15 years to build.I get my payouts about a week after I sell an item and now because of a return request,my funds are on hold and I can't even buy shipping labels........here is the biggest bomb yet.....a rep just informed me that the payouts aren't sent until the item is delivered.USPS is now experiencing the worst delays in history so we are even further srewed.I borrowed $$ from my husband to keep operating.TERRIBLE !!!!

Yes, had the same experience............

@Anonymous

I've been trying to get an answer on this for a wk or more.......

To be specific......

Funds transferred on a Tues.......

labels printed on Tues exceeded the pending payments putting me at a negative balance

Hold institued

last label required payment from paypal.....no option to charge to MP

It was my understanding that labels would be charged, even with a neg balance to pending funds for a wk......after which, if sales didn't catch up, the charge would go to the Ebay invoice........Does a hold on funds negate that?

Is this wrong?????

As an aside, someone commented that if one refreshed the page, the option to use MP as a funding source was then available.........but I sure didn't think of that, nor see why it would be necessary or intuitive.

No,that didn't work for me.Here is the ridiculous problem. In order to get paid, you need to ship ASAP and have the item delivered. But,in order to ship, you need to print a label.Ebay will not let you use pending funds if a buyer opened a return request and the funds are on hold. Now it seems that ALL return requests are being allowed so this further complicates selling.I was so afraid of this and now it is a reality.I am researching Etsy today because my business is being destroyed and not by me!

So if you have $1000 pending and a $50 refund 'pending' you can't use any part of your $1000 for the shipping labels?

One of my accounts has had slow sales.

I am able to print a shipping label right after a sale when there are no other funds in the works other than the one processing for that sale.

Get the red negative in available funds.

"..here is the biggest bomb yet.....a rep just informed me that the payouts aren't sent until the item is delivered."

That may have been a CSR going "off script" quoting a policy that may not apply to you.

It is true for some sellers that funds are held, but should not apply to an established seller.  If you are in good standing, and your payments have not been subject to the "21 day, or until tracking shows delivery" policy, you would not have that issue now with MP.

Not having the $1000.......lol...........

But once the sales began coming in the next day, even with the hold, I could have the labels charged to MP........

I'm guessing that the confluence of most money transferred, the hold, & negative balances created the point at which the shipping charge was denied.         BUT I don't know it wasn't just a glitch (tho with more people reporting it, probably not).......   I'm not griping, but I want to know what situation causes the denial......so I can hold the appropriate amount of money in paypal.  I don't get many returns.........this was probably the first in a yr......

But I sure can't get any answer............
