Managed Payments? Way to think about your sellers, eBay. Not getting paid right away and waiting 4 days is exactly what we wanted. By the way..try to ake more money from us by adding a section to boost our listings, that's a great idea...Let's see, where else you can screw sellers working under you? You should only be a portal for sellers to connect with buyers like it use to be. Now your like a job I hate going to with all your bogus unnecessary rules now!

Some of the other selling platforms have been using the same payment system as Managed payments for a while now. Eventually they will all be the same. This isn't specific to eBay, it's how platforms are handling payments moving forward. Best of luck to you....

I was using the system on another site for a few years even before Ebay decided to switch.
For people that haven't sold on other sites, it might be a shock not getting paid instantly.

When I opted into Managed Payments in 2019, it was a big old sloth. Payments took from 6-14 (AMEX) days to get to me, depending on the payment method. Granted, it took me nearly a whole quarter to adapt.
It has improved over time and now I can (consistently) count on my buyer's payment being my bank deposit in 3 business days, no matter the payment method... and I'm simply giddy .
Not to discount your issues; I just weigh those against the eyeballs. I hope that you can find a way to adapt. Good luck.

Paypal is gone
Managed payments are here to stay
The End 😊

Love it or hate it, most sites have their own managed payment systems that run on regular processing regs. Paypal and eBay split years ago. No more hand-holding and free loans.

So then when eBay started, why did they merge with PayPal? The help sellers get paid right away, instead of waiting for a check or money order. eBay use to be for the sellers, we were able to give a customer a negative feedback if needed. Now the customer is always right and Now ebays for the buyer who don’t pay crap to eBay. Use to be nice to list something have it sell and get the money right away. Now with managed payments ebays getting a cut with that money just sitting there.

So sell me something at your home. The. What I’ll do, I’ll to take the merchandise from you and I’ll send you money in 3 days if that’s ok?
It’s the same **bleep**

And unfortunately it took away my ability to get PayPal working Capitol loans for merchandise by way of my sales!
ebay gives a crap about sellers

MP has gotten way better in the last few weeks
they have started sending payments on Saturday and Sunday now
with the rollout of the new fangled non paying bidder the bidders have caught on and are paying me faster than ever
MP is just like the tide, it comes in an goes back out...just like the tide it never stops

No. Just like here, you pay me via managed payments and the payment is approved. Only THEN do you get your widget from my house. No backsies from you after payment is approved because it has gone into processing and no widget from me UNLESS your payment is approved.
When you buy groceries at the store and use your debit card, they give you the groceries right away if the payment is approved. They don't hold them back and say "You only get them when the money is in OUR back account" - nope, once your debit payment is approved and goes into processing, there's no backsies from you and it's safe to give you your groceries. *In a couple of days, the grocery store has their money processed and transferred.
And that's the way it works in the real world. I liked Paypal, too, make no mistake, but it only extended all of these free loans because it was part of eBay.

I feel like there are a whole lot of people who have literally never looked at their credit card/bank statements before.

Ihavetreasure,
I sell stuff every day and I get a deposit in my bank account every day except on weekends and federal holidays. What’s there not to like about Managed Payments?
